This notice explains how GND Motors Ltd uses personal information when you visit our website, contact us, request a quote, or buy goods or services from us.

Who we are

GND Motors Ltd is the data controller for the personal information described here. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 10393315. Our registered office is Unit 5, Eurocourt, Oliver Close, West Thurrock, Essex, RM20 3EE.

For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, contact us at info@gndmotors.co.uk or 01708 804 945. We have not appointed a data protection officer.

Personal information we use

Depending on how you interact with us, this may include your name, email address, telephone number, billing and delivery address, order and payment references, vehicle details you choose to provide, enquiry and service history, and information in messages or documents you send us. Our website and shop may also process technical information such as your IP address, browser and device details, security logs, and cookie or shopping-session data.

The shop checkout is currently configured for bank transfer and cash on delivery. Your bank processes any bank transfer, and we receive the information needed to match it to your order. Please do not send payment card details through a contact form or ordinary email.

How and why we use it

  • Enquiries, quotes and requested advice: to respond and take steps you ask us to take before entering a contract. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request or, where appropriate, our legitimate interests in handling and recording enquiries.
  • Orders, delivery, fitting and after-sales support: to enter into and perform our contract with you, including processing payment, arranging delivery or work, and handling returns or complaints.
  • Accounts, tax and business records: to meet legal obligations and keep appropriate records.
  • Website security, fraud prevention and service improvement: to protect our site and business and understand how our services are used. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interests, balanced against your rights.
  • Marketing: to send marketing only where permitted by law. Where consent is required, we rely on your consent; where the law permits marketing to existing customers about similar services, we may rely on that rule and always provide a way to opt out. You can opt out at any time.
  • Non-essential analytics or advertising cookies: where used, we seek consent where required. You can change your choice using the cookie controls shown on the site, if available, or through your browser settings.

If you do not provide information needed to fulfil an order or provide a requested service, we may be unable to accept or complete that order or service.

Who we share information with

We share only what is reasonably needed with service providers who support our business, such as website hosting and e-commerce providers, payment processors, delivery companies, email and IT providers, and professional advisers. They must protect the information and use it only for the services they provide to us. We may also disclose information where the law requires it or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

We do not sell your personal information. If a service provider processes information outside the UK, we will use a lawful transfer mechanism and appropriate safeguards where required.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected. Enquiry records are kept for as long as needed to respond and manage follow-up. Order, invoice and accounting records are kept for the period required by tax, accounting and other legal obligations. We then securely delete or anonymise them, unless we need to retain them to resolve a dispute or establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.

Your rights

Subject to conditions and exceptions in data protection law, you may ask us to access, correct, erase or restrict the use of your personal information; object to processing based on legitimate interests or direct marketing; or request a portable copy of information you provided. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. This does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew consent.

To make a request, contact us using the details above. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

Cookies and similar technologies may be used to make the website and shop work, remember your basket, protect the site, and—if enabled and permitted—measure or improve site use. You can manage cookies through the site’s cookie controls where provided and through your browser. Blocking essential cookies may affect the shop or other site features.
