Refund and Returns Policy

Last updated: 1 October 2026

This policy explains how to cancel an order, return goods, or raise a problem with a product or service bought from GND Motors Ltd. It applies to consumer purchases. It does not remove or limit any rights you have under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable law. Business-to-business orders may have different contractual terms.

Contact us before returning an item

Please contact us with your order number and details before sending anything back. We will confirm the appropriate return instructions, particularly for engines, large or heavy parts, special-order goods, and items that need safe handling.

Email: info@gndmotors.co.uk
Telephone: 01708 804 945
Registered office: Unit 5, Eurocourt, Oliver Close, West Thurrock, Essex, RM20 3EE

Please do not send goods to the registered office without first confirming that it is the correct return destination.

Changing your mind about an online order

If you are a consumer and bought goods online or by phone, you can usually cancel without giving a reason. Tell us within 14 days after the day you (or someone you nominate) receive the goods. After telling us, send the goods back within a further 14 days.

You may handle goods as needed to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning, as you could in a shop. You may be responsible for any reduction in value caused by handling beyond that. We will refund the price and the cost of the least expensive standard delivery option we offered. We may wait to refund until we receive the goods back or you provide evidence that you sent them, whichever happens first. Refunds will be made using the original payment method unless we agree otherwise.

You are responsible for the direct cost of returning goods when you change your mind, unless we agree to pay it or tell you before purchase that we will. If an item is large or cannot normally be returned by post, ask us for the estimated return cost before ordering; we will provide any information required before you place the order.

When the change-of-mind right does not apply

The statutory change-of-mind cancellation right has exceptions. These include goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised, and digital content once supply has begun after you have expressly agreed to immediate supply and acknowledged that you will lose the cancellation right. We will explain any applicable exception before you place your order. An exception does not remove your rights if goods are faulty or not as described.

Faulty, damaged, incorrect or misdescribed goods

If goods are faulty, damaged in transit, incorrect, or not as described, contact us as soon as reasonably possible with your order number and a description of the problem. Photographs can help us assess damage, but are not a condition of your legal rights. We will discuss an appropriate remedy under the law, which may include repair, replacement, price reduction or refund. We will not impose a short reporting deadline that takes away your statutory rights. Where a return is needed because of our error or a fault, we will agree safe return arrangements and cover reasonable return costs.

Services and workshop work

If you agree to a service contract at a distance or away from our business premises, consumer cancellation rights may apply. The cancellation period and any amount payable if you ask us to begin work during that period depend on the circumstances. If you want work to start during a cancellation period, we will obtain your express request. Where the law requires it, you may need to pay a proportionate amount for work carried out before cancellation; the right to cancel ends after the service is fully performed only when the required consent and acknowledgement have been given.

For work agreed in person at our premises, or for work already started, the quote, booking terms and applicable consumer rights will apply. Please contact us promptly if you need to change or cancel an appointment.

Refund timing

Where a statutory refund is due, we will make it within the period required by law, using the original payment method unless we agree otherwise. This policy does not affect any separate manufacturer’s warranty or your statutory rights.

Standard cancellation notice

You can cancel by emailing info@gndmotors.co.uk or writing to us at the address above. You may use this wording: “I give notice that I cancel my contract for [goods/services], ordered on [date] and received/started on [date]. Name: [name]. Address: [address]. Order number: [number].” You do not have to use this wording; any clear statement that you want to cancel is enough.
